B2B Senior Sales Data Analyst

The B2B Senior Sales Analyst is responsible for providing a wide range of analytical support and insights to B2B sales, marketing and management, as well as to cross-functional teams across the company.  Major areas of analysis include (but are not limited to):  overall business and territory sales performance and insights; external market analysis and opportunities; forecasting; expense analysis; sales productivity; marketing effectiveness; new service and program ROI and related metrics; and sales commissions.  In addition to direct responsibility for these analytics, the Senior Sales Analyst is a key member of the management team to help design, develop, implement and measure overall business initiatives and performance of this fast-growing company.     


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide overall weekly, monthly and quarterly business performance analysis and insights that support the business goals.  Key areas include:

Sales activity, revenue and productivity performance

Existing and new account performance, trends and market share development

Marketing program response rates and effectiveness

New service/program launch metrics

Vets First Choice platform usage metrics

Perform data mining to identify trends and report findings and recommendations to sales representatives and management

Help prepare annual and quarterly budgets and forecasts

Collaborate on preparation of monthly and quarterly business updates to the Board of Directors and management

Provide analysis and develop quarterly sales goals and commission structure; validate quarter end payouts

Support individual sales initiatives to gain accounts through proposal analysis and ROI

Work with project teams to develop ROI analysis of program, infrastructure or platform development investment projects

Work with Finance and other departmental analytics teams to help standardize, automate and streamline business insights and reporting

Occasional travel for sales meetings and trainings



Requires a Bachelor’s Degree preferably with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or CIS

A Master’s Degree is preferred, but not required

5+ years of experience in data/financial analysis or equivalent field

Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, detail orientation and interpersonal skills.

Strong ability to take complex data and simplify for various audiences, including the ability to present complex data through compelling data visualization

Ability to work with various systems and data sources to gather and assimilate required information

Comfortable with large amounts of data and the ability to identify key trends and variances and summarize with a high degree of accuracy

Strong organizational skills. Able to multi-task. Bring a strong sense of “customer service”; a strong responsiveness ethic and a sense of urgency and a drive for accurate results



Fluent in analytical programs and tools including Excel, Tableau, etc.

Demonstrated ability to understand and derive insights from the business itself

Full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productionization, and monitoring of data science products

Small and big data modeling abilities, knowledge of data science programs, and proficiency in SQL a plus

Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
